Just hours after news broke that a gunman opened fire on parishioners in a Baptist church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, liberals wasted no time before mocking the faith of the victims — specifically, praying to God — while calling for gun control.
It is staggering that these out-of-touch Americans decided to ridicule prayer after such an atrocity.
Lets start with the king of liberal blowhards, writer Stephen King, who posted the following to Twitter: “Enough with the prayin’. Time to start legislation’.”
Enough with the prayin'. Time to start legislatin'.

Yes, because legislation solves so many of our problems. Sorry, Stephen, but you can’t legislate evil away. Why don’t we just make murder illegal? Oh, wait…
The queen of liberal windbags, “comedian” Chelsea Handler, couldn’t wait to attack Republicans.
“Innocent people go to church on Sunday to honor their God, and while doing so, get shot in killed. What country? America. Why? Republicans,” she wrote.

This vacuous remark represents the unbridled hate the left has for Republicans.
Internet star Wil Wheaton, best known for his role as Wesley Crusher in “Star Trek: The Next Generation” in the late 80s and early 90s, attacked Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, who called for prayers for the people of Sutherland Springs.
“The murdered victims were in a church. If prayers did anything, they’d still be alive, you worthless sack of sh**,” Wheaton posted to Twitter.

Wheaton should stick to playing board games and stay out of politics, just like the other liberals who couldn’t help but attack the act of prayer.
they were literally praying while they died. They don't need lawmakers to pray; they need lawmakers to make laws. You huge sack of shit. https://t.co/1cxjKAHm9j

I’m sick & tired of “thoughts and prayers” for mass shooting victims. What we need: legislation & regulation. Start with assault-weapon ban.

These kinds of remarks show that leftists don’t have a firm grasp on how prayer works — they don’t have firm grasp on much, it seems. God isn’t a genie who grants wishes. Prayer acknowledges that we’re not in control and that ultimately the evil in people’s hearts can only be cured by a good and holy God — not government legislation.
The @NRA is soaked and bathed in blood. How do its adherents sleep at night?

No, turning tragedies into political points is shameful.
