The mainstream media has been relentlessly bashing President Donald Trump over the past few weeks for his response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. Now, one of his top White House advisors has publicly turned on him as well.

Breitbart reported that White House economic advisor Gary Cohn said that Trump must do a better job in condemning white supremacists.

“I believe this administration can and must do better in consistently and unequivocally condemning these groups and do everything we can to heal the deep divisions that exist in our communities,” Cohn told the Financial Times.

Cohn submitted to the mainstream media in saying that the violent Antifa counter-protesters were “standing up for equality and freedom” while the protesters defending Robert E. Lee’s statue were all white supremacists, neo-Nazis and the KKK.

“Citizens standing up for equality and freedom can never be equated with white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and the KKK,” he said.

Cohn added that he will be staying in the White House despite pressure from his friends and colleagues to reign due to Trump’s actions.

“I feel a duty to fulfill my commitment to work on behalf of the American people,” he said. “But I also feel compelled to voice my distress over the events of the last two weeks.”

He went on to say that he’s fighting white supremacists in staying at the Trump White House.

“As a Jewish American, I will not allow neo-Nazis ranting ‘Jews will not replace us’ to cause this Jew to leave his job,” he said.

This came after the New York Times reported that Cohn was “seriously considered resigning” and that he even drafted a resignation letter after Trump’s response to Charlottesville. Insiders close to Cohn said that he was “disgusted and deeply upset” with the president.

It’s sad that even people in Trump’s White House are now publicly speaking out against him. What do you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
