Was Kellyanne Conway Fox News Interview Staged? Whats your Opinion?

Speculation flew Friday that White House counselor Kellyanne Conway received a presidential phone call during her appearance on Fox & Friends.

Conway was seen talking on her cell phone while on the show’s set as the program returned from commercial break.

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt described the call as “very important,” adding that “we’re going to chat with her as soon as she gets off the phone.”

“I’m on Fox & Friends right now, do you want to say hello?” Conway joked as she ended the call.

Knowing that President Donald Trump is an avid Fox & Friends viewer, co-host Steve Doocy voiced what others were thinking.

“Are you talking to the president?” he asked.

“I’ll never say,” Conway responded.

Conway was more than willing to talk when it came time to discuss the investigation into claims that there was collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump’s campaign.

“Where is this going?” Conway said. “And are Americans comfortable with that — with the taxpayers funding this when it’s going off all types of chutes & ladders?”

Conway also jabbed Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, as being more interested in publicity than the facts.

“I was just looking at the statistics this morning, they’ve been on TV more than they’ve been presiding over these hearings,” she said. “I mean, literally, Adam Schiff walks around with a cutout of the capitol above his head instead of having these hearings.”

Conway also said that questions that have been raised about the motivations and connections of the legal team assembled by special prosecutor Robert Mueller are part of establishing the necessary transparency that should be part of all government.

“Donald Trump went to Washington to disrupt and expose the system. Just to blow that secret door off of its hinges and have more accountability and transparency in a system that thrives on the opposite,” she said. “Let’s at least have a disinfectant. Let’s at least let the transparency and the accountability speak for itself. It’s relevant that people know what the motivations are. And that is not an attack on the team. That is, what’s fair is fair.”
