First Lady Melania Trump has faced a lot of criticism from the moment Donald Trump took office, with many fashion designers showing refusing to dress her as a sign of “protest”. In her hardest times, Dolce & Gabbana were the only fashion designers which stood by the first lady. And this week, famous singer Miley Cyrus tried to undermine the designers for supporting Melania, which only turned out bad for Cyrus as it showed how classless she really is.
Cyrus’ comments quickly came back to haunt her.
According to reports, the singer posted a picture of her brother on her Instagram, to thank Dolce & Gabbana for inviting her younger brother to walk in their Milan fashion show, but her description didn’t stop there. Miley went on to bash the fashion designers saying she doesn’t agree with their politics, despite saying they are not boycotting Melania specifically so that they can stay out of politics.
“I STRONGLY disagree with your politics,” wrote Cyrus, adding “but I do support your company’s effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!”
Her post was immediately struck down by Stefano Gabbana, who fired back at the Miley’s comments on his own Instagram page.
“We are Italian and we don’t care about politics [or] American [politics],” wrote Gabbana in Italian.“We make dresses and if you think about doing politics with a post it’s simply ignorant. We don’t need your posts or comments so next time please ignore us!! #boycottdolcegabbana.”
