Denzel Washington Talks About Barack Obama

Many times in this country today the president of the United States is met with a large number of attacks. President Donald Trump is faced with hate from every angle. Liberals, the media and celebrities all try to give him their unwanted opinion and far too often it turns into an insult. We need to learn how we can give each other some constructive criticism. More times than not, when a liberal disagrees with something that is said they will go into a tirade explaining why they are right. Well, Denzel Washington had some words on this and it wasn’t pretty for the liberals.

A reporter on the red carpet tried to stir up the pot, asking “Just wondering who you wound up supporting in the election and why?”

Denzel answered with a booming, “None of your business!”

It seems like he would have given in right then and there but that is not the case. He kept pressing the issues he knew nothing about.

He went on to ask the actor about race relations in the United States.

Right now, under President Obama, over the last eight years, in your mind… have race relations improved under his leadership?”

Washington hit back hard. “Race relationships have to do with race relationships,” he explained.

“You’re white, or whatever you are, and I’m black, or whatever I am — we’re standing here talking now,” Washington went on. “That’s how we get things done.”

“You can’t legislate love. The president of the United States can’t legislate us into liking each other,” he explained. “We have to step forward and ask questions about each other and engage.”

“There’s no law that says, oh because I’m president, you all gotta get along now,” he continued. “So it’s up to us.”

What do you think about his words?
