Trey Gowdy has been all over the place as of late. It seems like everything he does is getting a lot of attention as he is fighting for our conservative beliefs. It’s a good thing he is on our side because liberals are terrified of the man. Gowdy knows how to get the truth out of anyone he talks to. Just recently, he announced that he would be co-writing a book with Senator Tim Scott to the pleasure of millions of conservatives around the country.

Now he has another new job. He is a very busy man. It has just been announced that he will take over the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee as its new leader. This is welcome news, but one thing is rather perplexing. Gowdy never said that he wanted the job. We will see if he excepts but all sources point towards yes.

Democrat Gerry Connolly even said that he was a good choice to take over.

“He’s being picked as chairman both to protect Trump. And frankly, to make sure that some of the Freedom Caucus folks are not the alternative. I mean it’s quite clear that Paul Ryan did not want Jim Jordan and didn’t want Mark Meadows. And Trey Gowdy is sort of an unassailable choice,” Connolly stated.

“I like him, personally, and we’ve sparred over the years. When he goes into his South Carolina prosecutorial mode he can be very aggressive,” Connolly went on. “But I think at times, it doesn’t always serve him well. Because, I think, the image it projects is not always one of balance and fairness to an audience on television watching that.

This is very welcome news to most that follow Gowdy closely because there are politicians as honest as Trey and he truly deserves this position.

Are you glad to see him take over this committee?
